Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon, who was the second? Exactly, not many people are concerned with ‘number 2s’. Now you understand why the media is obsessed with Professor Jay forgetting the other Bongo celeb who vied and lost.
Tanzanian election commission has already announced the results of all the contested parliamentary seats in their country.
All attention was shifted Joseph Haule popularly known as Professor Jay, after he rubbed off completion to clinch the parliamentary seat he was eyeing.

But Professor Jay isn’t the only Bongo celebrity who contested the Tanzanian elections. Veteran comedian Rashid Mwinsheshe aka Kingwendu contested for Kisarawe parliamentary seat, unfortunately majority of the voters thought he wasn’t good enough.
Kingwendu vied on Chama Cha wananchi (CUF) ticket (an affiliate party of the opposition Chadema). The comedian hasn’t given up on his dream to be called ‘honorable’.
He’s already gearing up for 2020 elections.
“Namuomba pia mwenyezi Mungu aniweke salama ili mwaka 2020 kama nitakuwepo hai nitaingia tena kwenye kinyang’anyiro.” Kingwendu disclosed after conceding defeat.

MSALA! Kuna madai mazito yanayosema kuwa nyota wa filamu Bongo, Kajala Masanja ambaye alizaa na ‘prodyuza’ mkali wa muziki wa kizazi kipya, Paul Matthyssen ‘P Funk’ anamharibu mtoto wao anayefahamika kwa jina la Paula.

Chanzo ambacho pia ni rafiki wa karibu wa familia ya bosi huyo wa Bongo Records, kinasema wazazi hao hivi sasa wako katika mvutano mkubwa kutokana na kinachodaiwa kuwa mabadiliko ya tabia ya binti huyo mwenye umri wa miaka 13, anayesoma kidato cha kwanza katika shule moja iliyopo nje ya Jiji la Dar es Salaam.

Inadaiwa kuwa awali P Funk alikuwa akiishi na bintiye huyo, lakini Kajala hakukubaliana na suala hilo, hivyo akatumia mbinu alizojua na kufanikiwa kumchukua. Kwa ushauri wa marafiki zake, mtayarishaji huyo mtata, aliamua kumuachia mzazi mwenziye amlee, lakini kwa uangalizi wa karibu.

Baadaye, inadaiwa P Funk alianza kubaini mabadiliko kwa mwanaye, ikiwemo kujichanganya na makundi ya wasanii akiwa ameongozana na mama yake, kitu ambacho hakukipenda.

“Wakati anaishi kwa baba yake, Paula alikuwa na uwezo mzuri tu darasani, lakini sasa hivi, anavurunda kutokana na tabia anazofundishwa na mama yake, maana kila mahali alipo Kajala na huyo binti yupo, kwenye vikao na wasanii wa Bongo muvi, wakati mwingine usiku,” kilisema chanzo hicho.

Gazeti hili lilimtafuta P Funk ili kusikia kauli yake kuhusiana na suala hilo, lakini licha ya kukiri kuwepo kwa tofauti kati yake na mzazi mwenzake juu ya malezi ya mtoto wao, alikataa kuingia kwa undani zaidi, akidai kuwa bize na kazi.

“Yule ni binti yangu, siwezi kuona anaharibikiwa na mimi nikakaa kimya, lazima nikemee, kwa hiyo utofauti upo, lakini kwa sasa sina nafasi ya kulizungumzia hilo,” alisema P- Funk.Risasi Mchanganyiko lilijaribu kuwasiliana na Kajala, lakini juhudi zake hazikuzaa matunda.
