Crazy!!!!! Couple sells 18 day old baby to buy an iphone

A Chinese couple is currently serving a jail term after they sold their 18 day-old-baby on social media just to buy a new iphone.

The man by the name A Duan claims to have found the buyer of his daughter via a social media platform after spending time in internet chat rooms. According to a report on the people’s daily online, the couple had unintentionally conceived at the age of 19 and had begun to struggle financially.

The child’s mother is said to have worked several part-time jobvs but eventually agreed to let her partner sell their baby to buy the goods.

She reportedly told authorities: “I myself was adopted, and many people in my hometown send their kids to other people to raise them. I really didn’t know that it was illegal.”

The buyer, who is yet to be identified, is said to have bought the baby for his sister. She still has the baby while officials decide on the best course of action.

A Duan was given a three year jail sentence while Xiao Mei was given a two-and-a-half year suspended sentence, according to the Epoch Times
